Women In Engineering Organization

Welcome Industry Professionals to WIEO.org! This section is especially for you. Most likely you are aware of the lack of women in the field of engineering. Find out what you can do to change this in the section entitled Get Involved. Click on Find Programs in Your Area to find programs you can take part in. Also, if you or your company is interested in sponsoring women in engineering programs, check out our Sponsors section.

The Reading Room offers books and articles on such topics as mentoring and gender issues and the Links page offers links that focus on women and/or engineering in general. Help inspire others by telling us why you chose engineering. Click on Why Choose Engineering, located in the upper menu bar, write to us, and we may post your story.

WIEO also offers a section where you can Post Internships as well as a section to Post Jobs in. These sections will be especially important to the college women who visit this site, so be sure to post whenever opportunities arise.

Lastly, don't forget about the Discussion Board where you can connect with other industry professionals throughout the country to discuss ideas or ask questions. Feel free to visit the other discussion boards to connect with other groups, like girls or teachers.
