The Intel International Science & Engineering Fair - is a competition for high school students all over the world where they compete for scholarship money, scientific equipment and trips, tuition grants, and the grand prize is a trip to the Nobel Prize Ceremonies. MentorNet initiates e-mail relationships between college women studying science or engineering and practitioners in these fields. This allows students to become more acclimated to industry, to understand varying aspects and to ask questions and receive advice. Visit www.MentorNet.net to find out how to become a mentor and encourage more women into technological fields.

National Engineers Week is February 17th-23rd 2002. One of the special features of the week is "Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day," which takes place on February 21. The goal is to reach one million girls by mobilizing both women and men in engineering. There is also great information provided for engineers, engineering students, K-12 teachers and students, library and science centers, and the media.
