Welcome all College Faculty to WIEO.org! Most of you are probably aware of the shortage of women in the field of engineering and most likely your classes have a higher ratio of males than females. It's time that this changed. See what you can do by checking out the Get Involved section. Help inspire others by telling us why you chose engineering. Click on Why Choose Engineering, located in the upper menu bar, write to us, and we may post your story.

WIEO offers many links to Funding Opportunities, so get prepared to write those proposals to help advance women in engineering. Be sure to browse through the Reading Room for books and articles on subjects like gender issues and career guidance. WIEO also offers a list of Professional Society Links for easy access as well as a list of general Links of equal importance.

Please also visit the Leveraging Experiences to Accelerate Progress (LEAP) section site to find the results from a nationwide conference in 2003.

Lastly, don't forget about the Discussion Board where you can share ideas with college faculty across the country. Also, please feel free to visit the discussion boards of other groups like K-12 teacher or college women to pose questions to or find out information from them.
